Whether the subject at hand was math, English or reading I was able to help them through it by taking the time and patience to re-learn the subject myself. I want to be a tutor because I believe if a child is struggling in a subject that they need to have more one on one time to fully understand that particular subject. Sometimes in the classroom the teacher does not give the students the time or only gives them one way to learn the lesson. I believe as a tutor it is my job to show the student a variety of ways to do a problem until we determine which version worked the best for that child. My strengths are definitely in English. I have always had a strong writing background and I've done exceptionally well throughout all of my English courses throughout the years. Since I am an education major all of my classes are relevant in whatever course I am tutoring in. I look forward to working with your child and I hope I will be beneficial to their learning.
